To enable Bradpole Parish Council to continue to make day to day decisions relating to the provision of basic council services during the period of the COVID-19 Crisis councillors have adopted a “Scheme of Delegation”.
A log of the decisions made under this scheme is maintained and is available upon request from: email@example.com. These decisions are subsequently confirmed at Parish Council meetings
The 2020 Coronavirus Act provides for all councils to hold “virtual” meetings, if required, to determine any critical or key decisions that may become necessary. Bradpole Parish Council receives guidance from the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) in these matters.
Bradpole Council has taken account of these provisions and is holding virtual meetings but in the absence of any scheduled meetings the Chairman of the Council, together with the Parish Clerk, also provides a regular report to councillors which includes decisions applied under the Scheme of Delegation.
